I can see this tiny rectangle on my computer as well. I
can only see this on Windows systems. I have not tried
other themes, but I'm sure this is a bug (or feature?)
in GTK for windows. Maybe it is theme dependent, I'm not
sure.

Hmmm... this is strange... it's present in the Appearence
dialog notebook, and it's present in the Path dialog
notebook, but not in the rollout dialog notebook. Strange?
