Well, according to <URL:http://www.bkgm.com/glossary.html#beavers> you
do have the option of taking or passing the beaver, but I guess there
may be local rules governing this, since beavers and raccoons are not
part of any set of tournament bg rules.

For example: I double and my opponent beavers after counting the race.
When I raccoon to 8, he discovers that his has miscounted the race with
20 pips, and correctly drops the beaver.

Examples like this are probably quite, but is nevertheless possible.

The first goal is to import beavers and raccoons correctly, such that
the cube owner, cube value, and cube position is correct after import.
The analysis of the beaver will be wrong, but analysis of all subsequent
moves or cube decisions will be correct.

NExt is correct analysis. However, the analysis strongly depend on
whether your may drop beavers and raccoons or not! A position can be too
good to beaver or too good to raccoon, if the opponent can drop!!!
