The New icon is pretty standart in the Linux environment.
It's used for everything, not only for documents. For example
setting up a new dial up connection, uses the same New icon.

Therfore I will _not_ change this icon.

(For GTK 2.x this is a stock item as well, so this is actually
themeable in GTK 2.x)

Sounds reasonable, it's also suggested by Jon. I'll see what
I can do.

Also reasonable, but as Jim says we want to keep the number of
icons to a minimum. I'll think about this. (I guess I'll add it)
