Btw, any shortcut with Alt doesn't work on Windows. (I have quite some with 
Shift and others with Ctrl).

I understand your reasoning very well. But I think we should decide on one 
thing: Do we want to make gnubg easy and intuitive for newcomers and less 
computer-literates?
This would require putting the main features on display such as with a 
toolbar icon. Else no one will find the functionality. This target audience 
will just need big things they can click on with a mouse.
(Making it newbie friendly doesn't have to require making it less friendly 
to the proficient.)

Eventually, it would be perfect to have a user adjustable toolbar.
