Please try and commit cosmetic changes seperatly from functional
changes.  Makes ones head explode when looking at the code later on.
That is, removing unused variables are cosmetic, header declarations
are not.  For cosmetic fixes you can just use a siple ChangeLog entry;
say"Removed unsued variables', without listing the variables in questin.
