Must be a macism then, my bad.  FTR my MBP, my last iMac, and my Apple
BT keyboard are all marked delete.  To get "forward delete" I have to
hold the fn key when I press the delete key.  No wonder everyone is so
confused if manufacturers can't even agree on what to call the keys that
delete the character behind and ahead of point!!

Why doesn't Zile have a 'delete trailing whitespace' function I add to the
save-file-hooks? ;)

I'll fix the terminology and the whitespace in a separate commit presently,
sorry about that.
