Hello, I agree with the answer of Petr and with your choice of implementing a bridge. Benoît Bréholée did that during his PhD. You can have a look at 2 papers, 03E-SIW-054 and ISC'03, that are downloadable from my personal web page. More details can be found in the thesis but it is written in French. I have still the code of a generic bridge federate. Do you want that I send it to you ? Maybe it could be useful for your work in particular, or it could be added (after the required updates) to the CERTI contributions. I am sure that Benoît will agree, he was the creator of the CERTI project on Savannah. Best regards, Pierre Le 10/11/2009 12:39, address@hidden a écrit : Dear Petr, first of all, thank for your help. Your opinion confirms what I was thinking. I'm going to investigate the possibility to implement the bridge between the two RTIs, actually this is the only solution I can see. Thank you again GiovanniDear Giovanni, This is my personal opinion. YES for the C++ API level, with the exception of some RTI functions that are not implemented in CERTI. This means the same C++ federate implementation can be compiled with both MAK and CERTI RTI. But you cannot rebuild the MAK products. NO for the binary level. It is currently not possible to exchange the RTI binaries and run MAK products with CERTI RTI. The binary MAK products like Stealth must use the MAK RTI. It may possible to implement a new plug-in for MAK's VR-Exchange and do MAK RTI to CERTI RTI bridging. Would this be a solution for you? The MAK's libRTI-NG exports many MAK proprietary (or at least not SISO standardized) functions. This means it may be possible to replace CERTI RTI --> MAK RTI in other software, but you probably never get full MAK functionality (and MAK support for the products you purchased) if you replace MAK RTI --> CERTI RTI in MAK products. The data are graphically displayed using MAK's Plain View Display (2D) and Stealth(3D). We're now moving to HLA, and our plan is to use CERTI's RTI. So my question is: is CERTI's RTI compatible with MAK's PVD and Stealth? Is it possible to have a federation using CERTI's RTI exchanging data with MAK's RTI? Thank you in advance for your help Giovanni Geremia -- CERTI-Devel mailing list address@hidden http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/certi-devel -- CERTI-Devel mailing list address@hidden http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/certi-devel |
