Sorry for in the moment only answering to the email...

I used auto-pst-pdf (the older package compared to pstool), not pstool!

I already increased the stack size in texmf.cnf from 5000 to 15000 some time ago -- but still got the message that the INPUT stack size was at 5000... so that seemed to me to be the wrong screw...

I still can retry... after the weekend...

This usually indicates a bug in one of the packages, which might have
been fixed meanwhile.  Otherwise, you can increase the stack size in
the file `texmf.cnf' – look for variable `stack_size'.

I suggest you give it a try again :-)
