reading this back over I realise it is horribly ambiguous, I meant that
the user, playing in the notes on a MIDI keyboard and looking at the
source he is transcribing, does not need to look up at the Denemo score
to see if it is the right note (because he knows that a weird interval
like an augmented sixth will be sounded on the xylophone, say, rather
than the usual pianoforte instrument)
