I think you will need to ask on the portmidi/portaudio lists about this
as there are very few listening in here who will have much experience
with how windows applications find there dlls. (That includes me,
unfortunately). If you do make progress please let me know. I may get an
opportunity to try installing pmdefaults on an XP machine myself in the
next few days. It installed and ran without any problems on a Vista
laptop...
