The Debian/hurd people don't have problems adding some directories, and
removing others, in their packages... They get complains about it from
time to time, but it doesn't give more problems than that...

PS: oh, perhaps an example to show how different their install is: /usr
is a symlink to / ... so even the policy-compliant packages get
installed where they want them ;-)
