I'll add my name to those asking: _Please_ stop packaging gnustep stuffwith these absurdly over-general names.
This is just good names
[The maintainer's previous objection to using a "gnustep-" prefix wasjust "Well these aren't _actually_ part of gnustep, they're just clientsthat use it"; well, fine, use "gnustep-client-" instead, or whatever, but please stop using such flimsy excuses to avoid the issue.] -MilesI think we need the opinion of upstream authors and the GNUstep community.Look at these threads: http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/06/msg00478.html
"These packages are of no use to me since I do not use GNUstep, but they
draw my attention at first." Why prefix with gnustep when it is not ask to Qt/Kde/Gnome projects ? Because they use applications that not "draw the attention at first" ? Fabien
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/06/msg00484.html Don't hesitate to post something in the Debian devel mailing list. Incriminated packages are : addresses clipbook terminal imageviewer camera charmap textedit viewpdf preferences Eric P.S.To avoid misunderstanding, I want to add that nobody has asked for GNUstep apps renaming, just for GNUstep debian package renaming._______________________________________________ Discuss-gnustep mailing list Discuss-gnustep@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnustep
