I really would like to have a version of the GNUstep live CD at the
booth, but the last release that I did test had rather big problems. For
example on my machine it was not even possible to stop the system, when
ever you did it just started all over again. We should try to make sure
that the version of the live CD we have at the FOSDEM in a different state.

Here is a short list of the problems with the CD that I remember:
- It took a long time to start up, during this it tried to get a network
connection via DHCP and also prepared the nfonts. I think the first
should be switched off and the fonts preprepared.
- There were no names on the dock icons, making it hard to realise what
they were standing for.
- The fonts didn#t display white space.
- There were no colour schemas predefined.

I also had the impression that a rather old version of GNUstep was used
for the live CD, but I might be wrong here.

Having a live CD is great, it shows that GNUstep is actually working.
But handing out a live CD with problems may give a very bad picture for
GNUstep. Perhaps we could do a beta for the live CD, comment on it and
try to have a final version ready for FOSDEM?

Cheers,
Fred
