I'd like to bound ESC to "escape" from the menu-bar (mouse-1 on "File"
will pop-up the menu File. When I press Escape, the menu "File" will
disappear and the menu-bar will not be activated.)
I'd also like to see cursor keys and RET to be sent to the menubar instead
of to the last-active window (mouse-1 on "File" will pop-up the menu
"File", <right> will pop-up menu "Edit", <down> will highlight item "Undo",
RET will actually do "Undo").
These are useful features, and implementing them would be a very good
thing. It would be nice to have menu shortcuts, too.
I think, though, that it is best if we handle after-21.1.xmail
first and then go on to do other things. Let's finish the jobs
that are currently unfinished, before starting new jobs.
