Gentoo currently has live CVS packages app-editors/emacs-cvs-23.0.0*
for Linux and FreeBSD. There is also demand from users for integration
of multi-tty (see for example <http://bugs.gentoo.org/77076>).
So yes, it would be acceptable for us.
