Incidentally, how does one enable `quail-show-keyboard-layout' support for a
given input method?

I think it would be super useful for e.g. `korean-hangul', but 

   (activate-input-method 'korean-hangul)
   (quail-show-keyboard-layout)

yields nonsense...
