I'm saving a file. mode-line-remote ("@") tells me about the status of
this file, "being remote". Saving the file has nothing to do with any
running process, from the user's pov. So I believe it is the natural
place to indicate.
But it isn't hammered in stone for me, I'm open to other proposals.
