I don't find that to be true...  I usually end up with so much info
turned up there is no way I'll even scan it all, plus a very lot of
it is either so dated as to nearly be irrelevant or just hives off
into something unrelated with the right catch words.

The info manuals, especially when read thru emacs, are much more focused
compared to the scatter gun mess on google.

The `i' search beats the snot out of any kind of + - or other wannabe
filter possible on google.

Then there is the `s' (regular expression) search you cannot even come
close to on google.

In particular the emacs manual has had many an hour spent by lots of
people setting up a truly comprehensive `'' (index) search.

Further more, if you do find a shortcoming in the info manual or the
searching, there are folks who will fix it... try that on google.
