In my 21.2.1 version of Emacs when I customized
'mouse-wheel-scroll-amount' customize put
'(mouse-wheel-scroll-amount (quote (2 . 1)))
in my .emacs.
In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.0.2195) of 2004-05-19 on BERATUNG4,
that value causes the mouse wheel not to work at all. I get a message
mwheel-scroll: Wrong type argument: listp, 1
mwheel-scroll: Wrong type argument: listp, 1
with each attempt to scroll and nothing moves.
