[Freetype] support needed.

Hi 

My Name is anil. I am working for TEDI India.
I want to use FreeType project in one of my embedded project. But I don't
know weather I can..
Before asking any questions Let Me explain you what I want how I wish to do
it.

My Setup:  

-I am working on MPC823 processor and the OS is VxWorks. My project uses a
VGA monitor as a display device.
-To render any shape on the screen I need to write the Pixel data to frame
buffer.

My questions:

-Can I use freetype to render text on the screen by writing the glyph info
to frame buffer directly. 
-Can I do it by FreeType library alone or I need some kind of font server(
Freetype font server (FFT)) for rasterizing the text. 

Any kind of comments and suggestions are appreciated
