[Freetype] Fw: Checking a TrueType Font is accessible by FreeType ?

Greetings All,

Just a quick query to the list.  I am trying to work out why Pango (and utlimately librsvg) can not access and render some TrueType fonts I have installed (I think).  I have the lastest stable version (glib 2.2.2, gtk 2.2.2, FreeType 2.1.4, Pango 1.2.3, librsvg-2.3) of everything on RH 9.0.

I have loaded the TTF fonts into xfree, restarted the xfs server, run xlsfonts and found the TrueType fonts to be there.  I have done a FontMap with Gimp (string "Bauhaus Md Bt" "Broadwayengraved Bt") and I can see the fonts, and I can see them from kword.  I'd check KDE Font Manager but being the newbie I am I can't find it :-)

Does this mean that FreeType is seeing and rendering the fonts, or do I need to do some tests directly with FreeType??
Thanks to all, I **greatly** appreciate comments and help.

Awesome, Z.

Notes on Tests::

Step 1: Load TTF fonts into Xfree
Add fonts to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/

Restart the xfs server::
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs restart

Test 1:  xlsfonts > testfonts

Output for a given TrueType font, bauhaus ::
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-adobe-standard
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-ascii-0
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso10646-1
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-15
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-9
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-microsoft-ansi
-bitstream-bauhaus md bt-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-microsoft-cp1252

Test 2: Gimp xtns> Script-Fu> Utils> Font Map
With string:: "Bauhaus Md Bt" "Broadwayengraved Bt"
Outputs fonts
