Well the perl at:
http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/H/HI/HIGHTOWE/mime_strip.html_bodies.pl-1.6

will convert html to text using perl if there is no text, so it should
be easy to fool it do think there is no text if there is html.

I'm sure I can fool it for you if you're not up to it...
