Now this is becoming a debian/linux question...I found out that I have to install "oss-compat" and then load the "snd-pcm-oss" module.
Not very straight-forward...but now it works!!! And Cynthiune plays MP3s.... almost better than on OpenBSD! Even if this is a quite oldish computer...
Success :)Now we can continue to work on it. There are already less warnings. If it isn't "worse" than before it might be good to release it before touching it too much, but I don't know the previous state.
Getting it to play on NetBSD and FreeBSD is of course cool too. Riccardo
