I was thinking it would be nice to use bzr/git (svn drives me mental).
Unfortunately, this might put me at odds with the 'everything in one
place'.

(Plugins for git/bzr + $webapp was something I've been explicitly
checking for after the webapps thread i kicked off a month ago).

Its purely the web interface for the SVN repo sitting on sandbox.

The benefit from a DRCS is anyone can branch, and anyone can commit
_locally_. It takes $admin to merge the changes into trunk though.

I think I defacto fill that role atm.

Wonder if it supports bzr (my preference); only arch and hg are listed.

While I dont mind hosting (copies) of our code off site, I'd like to
keep most other stuff on "our servers".
Then if it disapears, we aren't waiting for someone else to fix it for
us.

Whatever happens, if we are moving repositories around I'd like it to
be the moment we get rid of SVN.
