I suppose it depends on what you mean by `the changelog.'

An arch project tree contains lots of patch-logs from the various
commits; if you want to censor a log message somewhere, you could commit
a changeset that changes the associated patch-log file.  As long as you
only change the text portion, it can't screw anything up (I guess :-).

Of course anyone that hasn't applied that changeset will still see the
old patch-log...
