I basically do ``tla replay'' ``tlog'' (vi `tla make-log`) and ``tla commit.'' I sometimes do ``tlalogs -Dsc'' followed by a get of an older revision I want to reference.Merging and partial commit could benefit from a GUI, though.
Maybe. I use perforce at work, CLI only. Merging is ``p4 integrate -b [branch name]'' followed by a resolve and a submit. I did a reverse merge on Friday and a GUI might've helped me remember my branch name (it's generally in my .completions file), but I don't think it would've made the task any easier.
Similarly, partial commits are done by having the submit prompt me for my checkin log with a list of files, much like CVS. The difference is that I can edit that list, and things that are not in the list will not be checked in.
I think that the tla way of doing this would be something like ``tla make-commit-list'' to limit the checkin. Then the same GUI I edit my files with becomes my partial commit GUI (vim).
