A direct gateway would be lossy as well. Furthermore, tla is not yet
able to compete directly with BK. Claiming that we are ready will
almost certainly result in a PR desaster.
Don't get me wrong, tla is fine for most projects which lack a central
repository, but the kernel is just too large and too active.
