Robert, Jérôme, Can you try with
address@hidden/bazaar--pristine-version--1.4--patch-1

(either baz get it or baz replay this patch to your version of bazaar)

It provides a (temporary) fix, which works for me.

It presets version and revision information for the pristine tree so
that the ++default-version isn't needed anymore. It's temporary in the
sense that it does not set the fields in the right place of the code,
but I'll try to get something better. Hopefully, this will be fixed
for the 1.4.
