hello there,

now that 1.1 is out, the cvs is open again for check-ins.

things on the TODO list for the next version, in no special order, and
depending on the available volunteer(s), are:

* fix bugs, add missing classes, interfaces and methods, as detected by
the japitools (see <http://japi.sab39.org/htmlout/h-jdk14-libgcj.html>
for exhaustive list).

* continue helping the GCJ and GNU Classpath projects wrt. to
java.security and javax.crypto framework, implementations, and test
cases, until 100% completness of those interfaces is achieved.

* add at least the Diffie-Hellman signature scheme.

* support Kissme, JRVM and kjc as alternative VMs/tools for bytecode
interpretation.

* explore free replacement for javadoc documentation generation.

* continue implementing algorithms and tools as per the list on the home
page.

* add a new tool, similar to zip but which employs strong cryptography.

* implement the ASN.1 classes and complement them with PKCS and X.509
specific classes.

* implement basic SASL framework and mechanisms.

* provide a JSSE-compliant implementation.

if i missed something, or if there is a feature/algorithm you'd like to
see added to this list, pls let me know.

cheers;
