Hi again, Eric, This sounds rather too close to "ideology" for my taste. Apart from the fact Cocoa is always evolving, and not the only approach to coding, I think it is more important to avoid breaking things like the tube model. "Pure" Cocoa is wonderful in part because you can include "C" code, pthreads and the like. Use what works best and is understandable, and write good code -- of whatever variety ;-) Having code that compiles under either GNUstep or Cocoa probably makes a "pure" Cocoa approach inaccessible anyway, and this is supposed to be a project aimed at GNU/Linux! We should be glad they're so close that there's synergism. That's my 2-bits. All good wishes. david ------- |
