I am running on Ubuntu 16.04 with gpsd version 3.15-2build1 from the Ubuntu repo.  I also tried downloading the latest 3.16 tar and compiling from source but I experienced the same behavior.

I am using the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout v3 with the PA6H (MTK3339) GPS module.

Yeah, that is not good behavior.  I have done loss of signal tests, months
ago, and not been able to duplicate that.

To help me look into this:

What version gpsd?

What model GPS?
