Yeah, I guess it might be. :) I was assigned as grub-legacy maintainer
after I have joined Red Hat last year. I'm not author of the patch, nor I
have much of a knowledge of grub code. (The package was a leftover which I
was assigned.) And people who were working on grub properly have either
already left the company, or they have moved to work on grub2. Asking them
about work they have done years ago sometimes just don't give you the
answers you're looking for. That's why I suggested we try to ask upstream
as well... ;)
