Hello Jens,

I was making SVCD of Video tapes I have.
I have a Radeon AIW card that I was making SVCD of video tapes I have.
I don't know what changed but I am unable to edit the MPEG2 files
captured with the ATI software with TMPGEnc now for some reason.

I would rather capture/edit/create under Linux but it doesn't look
like capturing from the AIW card will be supported any time soon.

What is the quality of the SVCD when converted from the MJPEG?

Under windows I was capturing MPEG2 at 4Mbits then converting to SVCD
and was getting very good quality. I have read several places that it
is not good to capture in MJPEG then convert to MPEG2 for the SVCD.
