Ok, i will prepare another version.
I don't know if the knoppix-MiB actual can run on the G5. In fact i will be 
surprised if it works...

The main problem is to get a linux kernel, and a debian distribution, running. 
The knoppix is a debian distribution.

Well, i can explain how i have make the ppc port:
1) install debian.
2) debootstrap in an empty partition a sarge.
3) install the port of knoppix script's. For the moment they are here 
http://www.bouissou.net/knoppix-mib/knoppix-mib-dev/Packages/Y_Combes/
4)check the conf (users...)
5) test, hand corrections, and make the compressed iso and burn.

The road needs:
- -debian
- -kernel with cloop.o
- -cloop-utils
- - the correct initrd (i will put mine in the cvs).
- - a script to compress the partition and create the bootable iso (i will put 
it in the cvs to).

For now, i would remake the debs (from knoppix 3.3), and add debs for all the 
config. In my dream we could pass from a debootstrapped debian to a 
ready-to-burn debootstrapped debian just adding some packages.

There is a problem with ati card and UseFBdev missing, in mk86config and the 
use of the EDID to add.

The main part of the work is with bash shell scripts.

I work, you know with the MiB version of knoppix. But you can get knoppix and 
knoppix-MiB.
