Re: [Libreboot] Target candidate: Thinkpad T400s

Finally I get my T400s work by flashing it with rom for T400, and apply
the patch
0014-northbridge-intel-gm45-Automatically-enable-second-L.patch
(attached, which I got from resources/libreboot/patch/ within the latest
master branch. I failed to find a more proper way to obtain this patch)
to enable dual-link LVDS automatically, as well as the patch to enable
centry byte (https://review.coreboot.org/#/c/11853/).

Now my T400s gives no display output for grub, but gives ordinary
display after the linux kernel get booted, just as Ministry of Freedom
said. I do not know whether there is any patch to get screen work for
grub on platforms with high resolution screen.

My T400s used to use an 8mb spi flash chip in the form of wson8 (Mine is
an MX25L6405D) to store its firmware, Just like X200s/t, which is known
to be able to flash via wire-soldering, but I bypassed the dungeon by
replacing the wson8 chip with a soic8 one (MX25L6406E, I asked an
repairing expert to unsolder and solder the chips), since soldering
disks for wson8 is compatible to soic8's.

(I forgot to take a picture before removing the old wson8 chip, so I can
only take a photo like the attached one, on which the removed old chip
is placed on the blank memory socket, and the new soic8 chip has been
soldered on the disks.)

In fact, 8mb soic8 spi flash chips had not existed during the period
when X200s/t and T400s get manufactured, but now they exist, so the
method may also apply to X200s/t boxes, if no spacial issue exists.
