This is not correct, as if tabs are set to 8 spaces, 2 spaces followed  
by a tab is position 8, whereas a tab followed by two spaces is  
position 10. Unless you meant that in such cases, the unneeded spaces  
should be removed.

You may have to de-tab as you have time to check that the result looks  
good in an editor.
