Please folks,

There are many ways to produce a PNG file, but since 90% of all
people requesting this feature want to use the file for inclusion
on a HTML page, the best answer (in my opinion) is to refer to
lilypond-book which automates the procedure.

hi,

have you tried

$ ly2dvi --preview file.ly

this creates a png file of the first system. i don't know if this is
what you want, but if you can present a preview of the postscript or pdf
file, then others might be interested in looking at the whole thing.

regards,
simon.

I have just tried loading a postscript file into the GIMP and then "saving as" PNG. Obviously the GIMP gives you loads of different file formats you could choose from. It worked OK.
