Thanks David. Yes putting the <> around the note worked. I discovered that
this afternoon and was planning on writing to the list to report this. It
would be very handy if this could be accomplished by just specifying that
the numbers should go there by the fingeringOrientations statement. Having
to specify the <> brackets for each note is a bit cumbersome. Thanks for
your response.
