What platform do you use, Windows, Mac or some Linux distribution?

I hope you have seen the related emails on the mailing list.

For the fonts, check File->Document Properties and click on the Fonts tab to see a list of the fonts. If all fonts are listed
as Type 1, then they are not bitmapped, but if any font is
listed as Type 3 then it is bitmapped.

Quoting Harald Wellmann <address@hidden>:

After upgrading from Lilypond 2.6.3.1 to 2.8.1, the size of my PDF
output files has increased so massively that I'll have to revert to
the old version.

Some examples:

2.6.3.1 with point-and-click
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 700468 2006-04-04 14:23 AufDemFlusse.pdf
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 2741731 2006-04-04 14:23 AufDemFlusse.ps

2.6.3.1 without point-and-click
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 92166 2006-04-04 14:24 AufDemFlusse.pdf
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 2332954 2006-04-04 14:24 AufDemFlusse.ps

2.8.1 without point-and-click
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 6033331 2006-04-04 14:26 AufDemFlusse.pdf
-rw-r--r-- 1 hwe users 2022406 2006-04-04 14:25 AufDemFlusse.ps

Moreover, the PDF output looks rather ugly on screen; I have the impression
that the PDF converter uses bitmaps rather than embedded fonts.

Is anyone else having the same kind of problem? Is there a solution or a
workaround?

Regards,
Harald
