Right, the Homebrew build formula does not create Lilypond.app. Sorry for the noise.

However, the Lilypond.app is completely useless as is, except as a convenient way of packaging all the files. If someone wants a GUI that actually does something, then I suppose Frescobaldi is the way to go.
