That is a beautiful document.

I confess, however, as a former trumpet, French horn, and trombone player, that the discussion about the "serpent" was FASCINATING!! Will now have to go find some recordings. Reminds me of the first time I heard a competent cornetto player play one -- it was magical how it shifted timbre from clarinet to trumpet.
