Hello
I was thinking of writing a little blog post [1,2] to mark the release
of myexperiment.
The more publicity and users we have the better!
So I was wondering what makes myExperiment different to
1. OpenWetWare
this is a wiki for the bench scientist. Its not a social networking site.
2. network.nature.com
this is a social networking site but its for "all science" and its
central object is a PERSON, whereas myExperiment it is an Experiment
(aka a workflow) -they are called Encapsulated myExperiment Objects
(EMOs) or Reproducible Scientific Objects . Frankly we need a good name.
3. Facebook (which now has lots scientific groups e.g. [3])
See above
moreover, you will be able to run your own myExperiment in your lab;
have interrelated myExperiments and ultimately it would be a platform
for running workflow.
and we will develop a curated workflow and service browser in due course
ow about that??
Carole
I've got some ideas, but I'd be interested in hearing yours...
Does anyone have a copy of the original grant proposal they could send
me?
Cheers
Duncan
