Cloning the repo succeeded.  But pushing failed: remote said that
'.' was not a git repo.  Pushing again says: Everything up-to-date.
But the website hasn't changed.

Nor can I relink latest to v2.6 in dist/. 

(The whole release itself is there, meanwhile.)
