The audio.texi file looks good to me.
I'd guess there is something wrong with your TeX/LaTeX/Texinfo install. I
suggest you subscribe to the help-list
https://mailman.cae.wisc.edu/listinfo/help-octave
and ask the Octave community for help to debug the problem.
