Follow-up Comment #51, bug #53046 (project octave):

Before your latest patch I couldn't move subpanels such that they are
vertically stacked (cause could have been between chair and keyboard), so yes
I find it easier now.
Horizontal or vertical is equal to me, I don't mind much, I think it just
depends on the problem at hand on how to optimally place / resize / dock /
undock / stack / tabify data panels.

If I were you I wouldn't try to add more functionality now, the patch works
and IMO it is good as it currently is :-)

BTW many icons in a task bar looks like a non-issue to me. I sometimes have 40
or more figures, the taskbar just groups them neatly for me.
