Follow-up Comment #11, bug #53700 (project octave):
Looking at the code for ARPACK, I think the 'rvec' parameters are input-only,
so the changes you have made should be correct. But if they don't make any
difference in your case, then needs more investigation.
I don't have a Ubuntu 18.04 to test on at the moment, but I'm sure I will at
some point, so I can at least try to reproduce this.
