I m Greek so no problem at all ;D !!! The sequence 8\beta\alpha is another
solution, or \infty rotated by \pi/4, or 8 rotated by \pi/4 or sth similar any
other ideas. Unfortunately the greek word oktava is as long as the latin one
and i believe it will not be as beautiful. It could be used for a generic logo
for Octave but not as an application icon.
