Now I am having problems installing gtkspell-2.0.4 to /usr/local.

I have installed aspell-0.50.3 to /usr/local.

I now get this error on compiling gtkspell:

gcc: /usr/lib/libaspell.so: No such file or directory



This file (libaspell.so) in located in the place where I installed it:
/usr/local/lib.

I have included /usr/local/lib in my /etc/ld.so.conf and run
/sbin/ldconfig as root after installing aspell.

So why the error?
