What a dumbass. People are "scum" for using Windows? Such a narrow-minded
person and yet he demands other people to grok GPL and free software.

People don't buy computers for the OS; they buy them to use programs.
Since 98% of the of the hardware sold has Windows (and their work uses
this as well), guess which OS and software they will use?

But, perhaps they will d/l this nifty program news program, Pan, and they
love it! Ok, 95% of the computer-using people don't know even know about
USENET, but stick with me. Now that person prefers 1 GPL program to a
closed source/non-free version. Next they might discover Mozilla or one of
the office apps, suddenly they decide that during the next computer upgrade
that they don't need to pay the Windows tax because all the software they
use will run under Linux/BSD/whatever! Ta-da, the "revolution" has
succeeded.

If Mr. Narrow-minded really loved free software, he would champion the
Win32 port. Only by getting showing a normal person that free software
isn't junk will anything really be accomplished.
