[Pan-users] continuously loosing connection

Using Mandrake 9.1 and pan 0.14.2.
Pan 0.14.2 and knode continuously loose connection during downloads.
There are no problems sending or receiving email or browsing the web.
I've set number of connections at 1,2,3 and 4; didn't help.
Removed Pan then reinstalled.
Also removed and reinstalled kppp, kdenetwork, and knode.
Since news uses port 119, is there a way to check it out, or change to
another port.
Any suggestions appreciated.
